The Village of Wishes

The 2025 edition

For the night of St. Lawrence on August 10th, 2025, Castiglione di Sicilia took part in The Village of Wishes, the initiative promoted by the I Borghi più belli d'Italia association, which involved over one hundred Italian villages. From sunset to dawn, the alleys and squares of the historic center provided the setting for the ancient tradition of entrusting a wish to the starry sky.

The event was part of the "Un'Estate nel Borgo" (A Summer in the Village) program, which enlivened the town throughout August with musical evenings, shows, and initiatives through the streets of the center, in the striking setting between the Etna volcano and the Alcantara Gorges.
