Edition 2025 — Village of Candles
On December 28, 2025, Castel San Pietro Romano hosted the first edition of the Village of Candles. For one evening, public lighting was turned off and over a thousand candles lit up the alleys of the historic center, along a path of light leading to the Rocca dei Colonna. The evening combined Christmas markets, a roaming musical procession, and the Christmas Candle Experience concert in the Church of San Pietro Apostolo.
The first edition of the Village of Candles
On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Castel San Pietro Romano inaugurated the Village of Candles, a Christmas event that transformed the historic center into a candlelit path, with over a thousand flames illuminating the alleys up to the Rocca dei Colonna.
The evening's program:
- 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM – Artisan and gastronomic Christmas markets in the village alleys.
- 4:45 PM (meeting) - 5:00 PM – Roaming musical procession with the BMF Band of Serrone along the illuminated path, starting from Via IV Novembre.
- 6:00 PM – "The Music of the Soul", Christmas Candle Experience in the Church of San Pietro Apostolo: a concert for strings and piano embellished by tenor and soprano voices, illuminated only by candlelight.
A free shuttle service, operating from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, connected the parking lots in the valley with the historic center. Admission to the event was free.
