Edition 2025 — The Three Kings on the Oil Route

The 2025 edition of The Three Kings on the Oil Route took place in Cassaro during the Epiphany, on January 5th and 6th, 2025. The Iblean village came alive with processions, Magi on horseback, drums, street performances, music, and folk traditions, while tastings of DOP Monti Iblei extra virgin olive oil and local products were held along the "Oil Route," leading up to the evocative re-enactment of the Three Kings' arrival at the church of Sant'Antonio Abate.

During the 2025 Epiphany, on January 5th and 6th, Cassaro renewed its appointment with The Three Kings on the Oil Route, one of the longest-running winter events in Sicily. The village in the Province of Syracuse was filled with historical processions, drums, street performances, music, and folk traditions.

The heart of the festival, as per tradition, was the re-enactment of the arrival of the three Magi — Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthazar — on horseback: with the village lights extinguished and the comet guiding their path, the torchlight procession traveled through the streets to the church of Sant'Antonio Abate. Numerous tastings of DOP Monti Iblei extra virgin olive oil and typical Iblean products highlighted the gastronomic identity of the territory.
