Edition 2025 — The Taverns in the Shadow of the Bell Tower

In 2025, the Borgo San Giorgio District once again celebrated Ferrara's patron saint with Le Taverne all'ombra del Campanile, around the Sanctuary of San Giorgio fuori le Mura. The festival brought together sacred rites for Saint George, the Torneo dell'Idra of flag-wavers and musicians, the traditional tavern with typical Ferrarese dishes, and moments of district conviviality, in an atmosphere that anticipated the spirit of the Palio di Ferrara.

The 2025 edition of Le Taverne all'ombra del Campanile confirmed the formula that combines devotion and district celebration in the San Giorgio neighborhood of Ferrara. Among the religious ceremonies in the sanctuary, the challenges of the Torneo dell'Idra between flag-wavers and musicians, events dedicated to the cult of the patron saint, and the gastronomic tavern with dishes from Ferrarese cuisine, the event renewed the bond between the Borgo San Giorgio District and its community, as well as the tradition of the city's Palio.
