Edition 2025 — Ancient Walls
The 2025 edition of The Tale of the Ancient Walls confirmed the proven formula of the theatrical night tour of the Fenestrelle Fortress, spread over numerous evenings from August to November.
2025 edition dates
- Summer evenings: August 16, 17, 18, and 23 (9:30 PM);
- September 13 (9:00 PM);
- October 11 (7:00 PM);
- November 15 (6:00 PM);
- Special winter date: January 3, 2026 (6:00 PM).
As every year, spectators walked through the dark along the walkways, redoubts, and artillery platforms of Forte San Carlo, accompanied by costumed actors and a lighting scenography that gave body to historical characters, from Ignazio Bertola to the Abbé Faria. The event, organized by the Associazione Progetto San Carlo Forte di Fenestrelle Onlus, saw great public participation, confirming its status as one of the most evocative events of the Chisone Valley summer.
