Edition 2025 — Siege of the Castle

In 2025, the Siege of Gradara Castle was not held: the grand historical re-enactment, a symbol of the summer in the medieval village in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, had been absent since 2023 and only returned to the calendar in 2026. During those years of pause, Gradara nevertheless maintained its rich summer program, with Thursdays at the Castle, medieval shows, and evening visits to the Rocca of Paolo and Francesca.

The 2025 edition of the Siege of Gradara Castle did not take place. The re-enactment of the 1446 siege, which stages the resistance of men loyal to Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta against the armies of Francesco Sforza and Federico da Montefeltro, had been absent since 2023 and made its anticipated return only in 2026. In the years of suspension, the medieval village (province of Pesaro and Urbino) continued to offer a packed summer calendar of historical and cultural events, awaiting the return of the pyromusical show on the Rocca walls.
