Nine artists on display in the Pinacoteca of the Visconteo Castle
The Rooms of Art at the Castle is the exhibition that every spring brings contemporary art to the Pinacoteca of the Visconteo Castle in Legnano, one of the symbolic monuments of the city in the Province of Milan. Now in its fourth edition in 2026, the initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Legnano and provides space for artists from the region and beyond.
The 2026 edition features nine artists, selected from a total of 125 applications received by the Municipality. Their works occupy the various rooms of the castle, in a path that ranges from figurative painting, photography, abstract matter, and sculpture, offering a snapshot of contemporary artistic research.
The works on display address diverse and evocative themes: from girl power to flowers, from steel waves to the boundary between nature and culture, including reflections on the invisible and suspension. Each artist offers their own vision, and the collection reflects the richness and variety of today's art forms.
With free admission, The Rooms of Art at the Castle is designed for a wide audience: art enthusiasts, the curious, tourists, and citizens. It is an opportunity to visit the Visconteo Castle — linked to the historic Battle of Legnano in 1176 — and, at the same time, to discover the artistic talents of the region, in the heart of Legnano and the Lombardy Region.
The Rooms of Art at the Castle 2026, the fourth edition, took place from March 21 to April 6 (excluding Easter Sunday) in the Pinacoteca of the Visconteo Castle in Legnano, with an inauguration on March 20.
The exhibition presented the works of nine artists, selected from 125 applications received by the Municipality: figurative painting, photography, abstract matter, and sculpture, on various themes.
