Edition 2025 — Renaissance Festival

In 2025, the Renaissance Festival once again transformed Acquasparta into a 17th-century town, from June 7 to 22. The three contrade of San Cristoforo, Porta Vecchia, and Il Ghetto competed in the usual gastronomic, theatrical, and skill-based challenges, with the Great Parade serving as the opening event.

The 2025 edition of the Renaissance Festival of Acquasparta confirmed the formula that has made the re-enactment famous in southern Umbria. The village once again donned its 17th-century attire for two weeks, with costumed figures, artisan shops, and period taverns lining the historic centre.

The program featured the Great Parade of the Contrade to open the festivities, the gastronomic competition with 17th-century dishes, theatre challenges based on texts from before 1630, and the living Game of the Goose. The three contrade – San Cristoforo, Porta Vecchia, and Il Ghetto – vied for victory in a series of trials that involved the entire community of Acquasparta, in the province of Terni.
