The Night of the Lumère

The eighth edition (no. 8) of The Night of the Lumère was held from October 31 to November 2, 2025, in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, in the province of L'Aquila. The program opened on Friday, October 31, with the semi-serious lecture "The Wheel of Time" on the peasant calendar, curated by Domenico De Felice, and the storytelling walk "Stories of Capetièmpe" featuring tales and songs. Saturday, November 1, offered pumpkin carving workshops, the donkey walk "The Journey of Orpheus", a ritual experience around the fire with Maria Giulia Fiorino, and the nocturnal bird of prey encounter "Witches, Ghosts, and Familiars". The event, organized by Gira e Rigira with the Pro Loco and the Carispaq Foundation, concluded on Sunday, November 2, with a final workshop dedicated to children.
