The Mystery of the Nativity – Living Nativity Scene

The ninth edition, between Piazza Urbano V and the Rocca dei Papi

In the winter of 2024-2025, The Mystery of the Nativity returned to the Rocca dei Papi for its ninth edition, with events on December 26 and 29, 2024, and then January 1 and 6, 2025, starting in the late afternoon. The opening scene, the Annunciation, was held in Piazza Urbano V and also involved children from the town's sports clubs.

From there, the public was accompanied along the ancient walls, encountering Herod's court, scenes of daily life, and finally the Nativity grotto, with free tastings of local specialties distributed along the way. The Epiphany evening was reserved for the great procession of the Three Wise Men, while a fire-eater show closed the route in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The organization was handled by the Amici del Colle Association together with the I Burloni theater company, with a free shuttle service from parking lots outside the historic center.
