May of Books 2025 in Messina

The 2025 edition, the fifteenth of the national campaign conceived by Cepell, took place in Messina from April 27 to May 31, 2025, with the theme "Intelleg(g)o!". The city program opened on April 23, on the occasion of World Book Day, at the Mondadori Bookstore Doralice, continuing with initiatives for adults and children until the end of May.

The Night of Books and Libraries

The most anticipated moment was the Night of Books and Libraries on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, which involved the "Giacomo Longo" Regional Library, the Law Faculty Library, the Capuchin Friars Minor Library, the Municipal Library, the G. Pascoli Library of the Metropolitan City, and numerous bookstores in the city.

The calendar, drawn up by the Municipal Department of Culture together with the Culture service of the Metropolitan City, involved associations, bookstores, publishers, schools, libraries, and private citizens, confirming the widespread and participatory vocation of the Messina festival.
