The May of Books in Minturno

2025 Edition: «Intelleg(g)o»

The theme chosen by the Centre for Books and Reading for 2025 focused on the conviction that books are the primary tool for developing and refining critical thinking. In Minturno, in southern Lazio, the festival offered nine events divided into twenty-three sessions, with a clear focus on inclusion and participation.

The program included spring readings for ages 3-6, creative workshops for children aged 6-10, a comic book course for ages 9-11, inclusive reading workshops for vulnerable individuals, and a theatrical reading workshop titled «Readers on Stage». In May, meetings with authors moved to the beach clubs of Scauri, while on May 10, the festival crossed paths with the «La Marittima in Festa» event.

All activities were free and open to the public, with online booking for workshops. The event was organized by the associations Amici del Libro Biblioteca Luigi Raus, Co.S.MO.S, and Fuori Quadro, together with the Nati per Leggere volunteers.
