Edition 2025 — Bread and Tales
In June 2025, the literary square of Vetralla returned for the third time to combine words and taste in the heart of the historic center, in the province of Viterbo. The festival, promoted by the Municipal Department of Culture under the artistic direction of Riccardo Deiana and the editorial care of Roberto Oriolesi, kicked off on Friday, June 13, with meetings starting at 5:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I.
The program brought prominent figures of the national literary scene to Vetralla: writer and commentator Barbara Alberti, Premio Campiello-winning crime novelist Mariolina Venezia, writer Fabio Stassi, and journalist Carla Cucchiarelli. At the end of the meetings, tastings prepared by local chefs and food and wine producers renewed the marriage between literature and cuisine that characterizes the event.
As in previous editions, the festival was intertwined with the 'Flowers at the Window and Dinners in the Square' festival organized by the Pro Loco, amidst flower-filled balconies, music, and convivial tables: an edition that consolidated Vetralla's role as a small summer capital of culture in the Lazio Tuscia.
