Edition 2025 — The Kiss of the Madonnas

Also in 2025, on Easter Monday (April 21), Monte Asprano hosted the ancient rite of the Kiss of the Madonnas. The communities of Castrocielo and Colle San Magno, with their respective Marian statues, met at dawn at the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo to renew the Bow and the Kiss, amidst prayers, songs, and the traditional outdoor breakfast.

In 2025, the Kiss of the Madonnas on Monte Asprano was celebrated on Monday, April 21, Easter Monday. As per secular tradition, the two processions climbed at dawn from Castrocielo and Colle San Magno to meet at the small church on the summit of the mountain.

The rite of the Bow and the Kiss between the two Marian statues once again renewed the gesture of harmony and brotherhood between the two communities of the province of Frosinone, followed by religious services and the conviviality of the outdoor breakfast with typical local products.
