Edition 2025 — Farchia of Tufillo
The 2025 edition of the Farchia of Tufillo took place as scheduled on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025, organized by the Pro Loco of Tufillo. The day began at 8:30 AM with the assembly of the large farchia in front of the Church of San Vito; in the evening, at 8:30 PM, the procession set off through the alleys of the historic center to reach the Church of Santa Giusta around 11:59 PM.
At midnight, the farchia was lit, followed by the blessing and the Christmas Midnight Mass. Dozens of volunteers — including numerous Tufillo natives who returned for the occasion — pushed the structure along the climb, while residents offered sweets and wine to participants and visitors. The ritual, of pre-Christian origin and linked to the winter solstice, confirmed its role as a unifying force for the entire village.
