Edition 2025 — Devil of Tufara
In 2025, the Devil of Tufara confirmed its role as guardian of one of the oldest carnival traditions in Molise. The Devil mask, held back by the Gnomes, paraded through the village in the province of Campobasso along with the local masks, in a rite that continues to evoke themes of death and rebirth.
The festival, organized by the Cultural Association Antica Maschera "Il Diavolo", involved the community and guest groups of the traditional Carnival, confirming itself as an anticipated event on the Molise calendar.
Programme
The 2025 edition re-presented the parade of the Devil and the traditional masks of Tufara through the streets of the historic center, with the concluding rite during the Carnival period.
