Edition 2025 — Theatre in the Village
The first edition of The Charm of Theatre in the Village kicked off during the 2024-2025 season at the Teatro Domenico Popolo in Montalbano Elicona, marking the birth of a permanent theatre festival in this village in the province of Messina.
The debut programme brought together nationally renowned performers such as Corrado Tedeschi, Giobbe Covatta, Mario Incudine, Dario Vergassola, Lidia Schillaci, and Antonio Catania, with the grand finale entrusted to Ornella Muti and her Cinema Stories. As part of the Maggio dei Libri, the programme also hosted writer Catena Fiorello.
The success of this first season, promoted by the Banca della Speranza association with the support of the Municipality of Montalbano Elicona and the Sicilian Region, laid the foundations for subsequent editions.
