Edition 2025 — Carnival of Yesteryear
The 2025 edition of "E Caranval d'na volta" was held on Sunday, February 23, in Barigazzo, a hamlet of Lama Mocogno. For this edition too, the Historical Folk Group staged the re-enactment of the early 20th-century Carnival, with the procession in traditional attire crossing the village hamlets amidst music, songs, folk dances, and good wine.
The 2025 edition confirmed the fidelity to tradition that characterizes this festival: the procession, in strict period costume and without modern outfits, enlivened the hamlets of Barigazzo all day starting from 2:30 PM. Amidst music from violins and accordions, jumping dances, and tastings of chestnut cakes, frappe, and wine, the small community of the Modenese Apennines renewed one of the most authentic events of the Historical Carnivals of Emilia-Romagna.
