Edition 2025 — Building of the Haystack

In 2025, the Poggiolone di Loiano once again provided the setting for the building of a haystack, the re-enactment of the farming craft that Pro Loco Loiano offers annually with the Parish and village volunteers. A day of celebration designed to rediscover "work of the past" and to gather outdoors in the Bolognese Apennines, amidst a crowd admiring the cone of straw growing around the 'stollo'.

The 2025 edition took place at Poggiolone di Loiano, confirming an event now eagerly awaited by residents and visitors alike. Volunteers from the Pro Loco Loiano, in collaboration with the Parish, re-enacted the building of the haystack, the characteristic conical pile of straw typical of old farmyards. The festival, free and open to all, combined the memory of agricultural work in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines with the pleasure of a village festival, featuring stories from the elders and the convivial atmosphere that has always characterized this Loiano event.
