Edition 2025 — The Branciforti Counts of Raccuja
2025 Edition
The third edition of "The Branciforti Counts of Raccuja" was held on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The day opened with the archery camp and entertainment, culminating in the afternoon with the grand historical procession at 5:30 PM, which re-enacted the arrival of Count Nicolò Branciforti, his wife Giovanna Lanza, and the court at Castello Branciforti.
Nearly one hundred participants paraded, with the participation of the "Dominus Fortitudo" Historical Group, the "Federico IV d'Aragona" Historical Procession of San Piero Patti, the "Antiche Torri" Association of Santa Lucia del Mela, and the "Civitas Nicosiae" Flag-wavers and Musicians of Nicosia. In Piazza Castello, in the evening, jugglers, fakirs, and fire shows concluded a day dedicated to the history and traditions of Raccuja, in the heart of the Nebrodi.
