Edition 2025 — The Banner of Theodelinda

In 2025, "The Banner of Theodelinda" returned to Castel Sant'Elia over two weekends, September 13-14 and 19-21. The historical medieval re-enactment featured the meeting between the Lombard Queen Theodelinda and Pope Gregory the Great, with a historical pageant in period costumes, traditional music and dances, and the opening of the village taverns with tastings of traditional dishes.

The 2025 edition of The Banner of Theodelinda was held in Castel Sant'Elia, in the province of Viterbo, spread over two weekends: September 13-14 and September 19-21, 2025. The village's historic center hosted the historical pageant commemorating the meeting between Queen Theodelinda and Pope Gregory the Great, along with traditional music and dances, and taverns set up in ancient cellars where visitors could taste traditional dishes. The event confirmed its status as one of the most characteristic medieval re-enactments in the Viterbo Tuscia region.
