Tevere in Danza 2025, the first edition

The festival debuted at the end of August 2025 in Nazzano, in the Tiber Valley, under the artistic direction of Valerio Longo and curated by the Collettivo Valle del Tevere. Three days, from August 29 to 31, brought about fifty artists to the village, featuring outdoor evening performances, site-specific shows at the River Museum, and meetings with the public.

Alongside the dance program, the schedule included dance workshops for young dancers led by Longo himself, a tango workshop with Marcela Szurkalo and Silverio Valeriani, a canoe excursion on the Tiber, a visit to the River Museum, and a live music evening with the Quintetto Artemisia. A second session was held on October 11 and 12, extending the project to the Art Forum Würth in Capena.

The recognition from the Ministry of Culture, with a first three-year contribution from the National Fund for Live Performance, provided continuity to the festival and made the 2026 edition possible, which was moved to July and expanded in the number of guest companies.
