The 2025 Terranovese Carnival

The 2025 Terranovese Carnival was held over two days: Sunday, March 2nd, and Tuesday, March 4th, 2025 (Shrove Tuesday). On the afternoon of the parade, from 2 PM to 6 PM, the center of Poggio Imperiale was closed to traffic to allow the allegorical floats to pass through the main streets, with bus stops relocated to via Falcone, via Foggia, and via Marconi.

As per tradition, the floats and masked groups enlivened the streets with music, confetti, and dancing in Piazza Placido Imperiale. Sunday concluded with the sausage festival, while Shrove Tuesday bid farewell to the Carnival with the distribution of porchetta sandwiches, in a festive atmosphere shared by the entire Terranovese community.

• Evening — Distribution of porchetta sandwiches to close the Carnival
