Edition 2025 — Terrae Film Festival

From July 23 to 26, 2025, the Terrae International Film Festival returned to Patù for its second edition, once again in the garden of Palazzo Romano. Four evenings of open-air documentary cinema, the Terrae Award competition with twelve short films from around the world, photojournalism exhibitions, art installations, workshops, and live concerts, all with free admission in the heart of lower Salento.

The second edition of the Terrae International Film Festival took place in Patù (province of Lecce) from July 23 to 26, 2025, in the garden of Palazzo Romano. For four evenings, the public was able to enjoy free open-air screenings of documentaries selected from major international festivals, from Cannes to Berlin, dedicated to stories of resistance, identity, and the relationship between humanity and nature.

The Terrae Award competition featured twelve short films from around the world focusing on the environment, human rights, and inclusion. Alongside the screenings, the festival offered two major photojournalism exhibitions, art installations inspired by contemporary and conceptual art, as well as workshops and masterclasses on photojournalism and cinema. The evenings concluded with live music at the after-festival.

An event that confirmed the international vocation of the festival and the role of Patù as a small yet significant cultural crossroads in Salento.
