Terelle Chestnut Festival

The 41st edition of the Terelle Chestnut Festival brought Piazza Loreto Biondi to life on Saturday, November 8th (from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM) and Sunday, November 9th, 2025 (from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM). The culinary trail offered chestnut flour gnocchi, tagliolini with Terelle 'bottone' mushrooms, tagliolini with beans, polenta with pork spare ribs, 'pecora alla terellese', pork strips with chestnuts, chestnut and chocolate 'salami', and chestnut cantuccini, in addition to the essential roasted chestnuts with new wine. The programme also included live music, folk dancing, cooking shows, workshops on chestnut-based recipes, and a craft market. The edition was preceded by 'Waiting for the Festival' meetings on the Sundays of October 19th and 26th, dedicated to the community and local producers, and by the conference 'Telling the story of Terelle and Monte Cairo' on sustainable tourism.

Saturday, November 8, 2025: from 3:00 PM ribbon-cutting and opening of the food stalls in Piazza Loreto Biondi; aperitif and dinner with live music in the square until 10:00 PM. Sunday, November 9, 2025: from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM food stalls, distribution of roasted chestnuts from the morning, cooking shows and workshops on chestnut recipes, live music, folk dancing, and craft market. 'Waiting for the Festival' events: Sunday, October 19 'Welcome to Our Home' and Sunday, October 26 'Hands That Make' (at 10:00 AM at the municipal headquarters, followed by roasted chestnuts in Piazza Loreto Biondi); Saturday, November 8 at 3:00 PM meeting 'Telling the story of Terelle and Monte Cairo' dedicated to sustainable tourism.
