Teatro sull'Acqua Festival

The 2025 edition of the Teatro sull'Acqua Festival celebrated the event's fifteenth anniversary, from 30 August to 7 September in Arona. Under the artistic direction of Dacia Maraini, the programme brought together artists from three continents and new city spaces transformed into stages.

Among the flagship productions were the national premiere of "Usellini, il pittore dei sogni" (30 and 31 August, 20:30 at Villa Usellini), created by Cabiria Teatro with dramaturgy by Dacia Maraini and Giustina Laurenzi, and "Uovo di Picasso", featuring live painting by the Japanese artist Izumi Fujiwara. The urban parade "Vola!" by the RESCUE! Project crossed the city from 4 to 7 September. Guests at the encounters with authors included the journalist and writer Francesca Mannocchi.
