Teatro Stabile Mascalucia Mario Re Season

The 2025/26 season of the Teatro Stabile Mascalucia Mario Re, held at the Teatro Mario Re in Mascalucia (Province of Catania), raised the curtain with "Questi fantasmi!" by Eduardo De Filippo, performed on the weekends of December 6-7 and 13-14, 2025. The direction was by Andrea Zappalà, who also starred as Pasquale Lojacono, with co-direction by Giuliana Mirone and Rita Re in the role of Maria.

During the Christmas period, the family fairy tale "Bensurdatu" was performed on December 21 at 5:30 PM and December 22 at 10:00 AM in the 'breakfast theatre' format. The season concluded with "'U Contra" by Nino Martoglio, a comedy of the Sicilian tradition, from May 16 to 24, 2026, with five performances across two weekends.
