Edition 2025 — Teatro in Orto
2025 was a year of intense activity for the prison theatre project led by Daniela Ursino with the Associazione D'aRteventi, from which the Teatro in Orto event in Messina was born.
The Libera Compagnia del Teatro per Sognare, composed of inmates-actors from the prisons of Messina and Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, continued its journey on the Sicilian stage, performing shows such as "Icaro" at the Greek Theatre of Tindari, as part of a path of reintegration and redemption through theatre that has been ongoing since 2017.
This experience, rooted in the territory of Messina and its Province, formed the artistic and social foundation that led to the 2026 evening in the cavea of the Pietro Castelli Botanical Garden.
