Teatro Bastardo Festival 2025 in Palermo
The 2025 edition of the Teatro Bastardo Festival was held in Palermo from October 11th to 31st, confirming the festival's decentralized and multidisciplinary format. The programme unfolded in two stages: from October 11th to 20th at the Teatro Montevergini in the historic centre, and from October 23rd to 31st across the Teatro Garibaldi in the Kalsa district, the Antonio Pasqualino International Puppet Museum, and the Centro Pro Arenella.
The opening night, Friday, October 11th, featured "La Signora Palermo" by Ernesto Tomasini, with stand-up comedian Celeste Siciliano and drag queen Caso-x with Ryuki. Among the protagonists of the edition, curated by Giulia D'Oro and Flora Pitrolo, were the young company Sorelle di Damiano, Bassem Saad and Sanja Grozdanic, Claudia Puglisi, Panzetti and Ticconi, Ellen Freed and Jasper Cox, Ant Hampton, and Simona Malato. Tickets for individual shows were affordably priced at around 7 euros.
