Taurus Sub Moenibus — Quartiere il Prato Weekend

The 2025 edition of Taurus Sub Moenibus, held from June 6 to 8, 2025, in the Via Matteotti Gardens, confirmed the successful formula of the Quartiere il Prato festival in San Quirico d'Orcia. Under the theme "A historical journey between the Bull, the ancient walls, and Piazza Tonda," the green-and-white district offered traditional Val d'Orcia cuisine prepared by the local women, with lunch and dinner service served under the trees and tables illuminated at sunset.

As noted by the Prato captain Giacomo Pistoi, the edition focused on improved technical organization, evening atmosphere, and the rich local gastronomic offering, with play areas for children and restricted traffic. The festival, accompanied by the hashtag #thewall in honor of the village's historic walls, represented in 2025 as well the final major district celebration before the Festa del Barbarossa.
