Edition 2025 — TAU Teatri Antichi Uniti
The 27th edition of TAU - Teatri Antichi Uniti brought two classical theatre performances to the Roman Amphitheatre of Ancona: Antigone in Roberto Latini's reinterpretation on July 22 and Ovid's Metamorphoses directed by Andrea Baracco on August 2. The festival featured 29 performances in 16 archaeological sites across the Marche region, accompanied by free AperiTAU guided tours.
In 2025, TAU - Teatri Antichi Uniti celebrated its 27th edition with 29 performances in 16 archaeological sites in the Marche region, organized by AMAT. At the Roman Amphitheatre of Ancona, two significant events took place:
- July 22 — Antigone by Jean Anouilh, with Roberto Latini (also director and performer of the role of Antigone), Manuela Kustermann, Francesca Mazza, Silvia Battaglio, and Ilaria Drago: a contemporary reinterpretation of the eternal conflict between law and conscience.
- August 2 — Metamorphoses by Ovid, with Munedaiko and Nina Pons, directed by Andrea Baracco: a concert of music, body, and word that brought back the visual and sonic power of Ovid's text.
Also in 2025, before many performances, the free AperiTAU guided tours accompanied the public in discovering the archaeological heritage of the Ancona area and the Marche region.
