Targa Crocifisso

The 75th Targa Crocifisso was held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Polignano a Mare, confirming the vitality of one of the oldest classics in Puglian road cycling. The edition, which had risked cancellation during the summer months due to organizational and financial difficulties, was successfully completed by A.S.D. Polisport Polignano under the leadership of the new president Francesco Bovino, with the support of the Municipality of Polignano a Mare and the Puglia Region.

The race, reserved for Elite and Under 23 categories, unfolded over a 27 km circuit repeated six times (162 km total) through the local provincial roads and the territories of Conversano and Monopoli. Over one hundred athletes representing nineteen teams were at the start. The 2025 Targa Crocifisso was included in the fourth edition of the Giro di Puglia Challenge, in conjunction with the 65th Coppa Messapica of Ceglie Messapica.

• 13:15 — Departure from the center of Polignano a Mare (Piazza Aldo Moro / Via Martiri di Dogali area)
• Circuit of 27 km repeated 6 times (162 km total) between Polignano a Mare, the SP 120 and SP 114 roads, Conversano, and the territory of Monopoli
• Afternoon finish on Via Pompeo Sarnelli, in the city center

Eligible categories: Elite and Under 23 (regional road race, class 1.19).

Over one hundred riders and nineteen teams were at the start, including Biesse Carrera Premac, Team Gaiaplast Bibanese, and Mg K Vis Costruzioni e Ambiente. The race opened, together with the Coppa Messapica, the fourth edition of the Giro di Puglia Challenge.
