The second edition of the festival

The second edition of the Taranto Pettola Festival was held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in the Historic Center of Taranto, with a preview on Saturday, November 22. The widespread event involved the shops of the Old Town in an authentic Christmas atmosphere, filled with the scent of fried food, music, and tradition.

From 7:00 PM until midnight, over twenty establishments offered pettole in cones: 2 euros for classic versions (sweet or savory) and 3 euros for more elaborate variations — with salt cod, anchovies, mussels, cauliflower, mortadella and provolone, mulled wine, as well as Nutella and gluten-free versions. The tasting was accompanied by folk and Christmas music from the Tarantinian tradition and itinerant entertainment for children.

Sunday, December 7, 2025 — Historic Center of Taranto

• From 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM — Pettola tasting in the Old Town shops: classic cone (sweet or savory) for €2, special variations for €3.
• 7:30 PM — "Favole Altoparlanti": itinerant show for children with stilt-walking storytellers and juggling acts.
• From 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM — Band of the Associazione musicale Lemma with traditional Tarantinian Christmas carols, starting from Piazza Castello.
• In the evening — Tarantinìdion trio with traditional Tarantinian Christmas folk music, performing itinerantly through the alleys.
• Guided tours — Hypogea and historic center (departure from the Info Point), Sea Museum of the Clock Tower, Palazzo Pantaleo, and Palazzo Galeota.

The preview took place on Saturday, November 22, starting at 7:00 PM.
