Taormina Film Fest 2025 — 71st edition
The 71st edition of the Taormina Film Fest was held from June 10 to 14, 2025, across the halls of the Palazzo dei Congressi and the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, under the artistic direction of Tiziana Rocca, with Valeria Solarino as godmother.
The edition welcomed numerous stars of international cinema: Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Martin Scorsese and Michael Douglas, while other awards honoured Catherine Deneuve, Monica Bellucci, and Tim Burton, among other guests.
Jury and winners
The jury, chaired by Oscar-winning actress Da'Vine Joy Randolph, presented the main awards: Best Film to For Your Sake by Axel Monsú, Best Director to Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland for Warfare, Best Actor to Geoffrey Rush, and Best Actress to Ebada Hassan. The festival featured sections including the International Feature Film Competition, Out of Competition, Special Screenings, and Short Films.
