Edition 2025 — Taobuk

The 15th edition of Taobuk was held in Taormina from June 18 to 22, 2025, dedicated to the theme "Borders – gateways to the imagination". The festival explored the ambivalences of every demarcation line and the value of individual and collective identities, bringing together over 200 international guests from more than 30 countries, including writers, scientists, intellectuals, and artists, with the customary Taobuk Gala at the Ancient Theatre.

Taobuk 2025: Borders

The 15th edition of the Taobuk – Taormina International Book Festival took place from June 18 to 22, 2025 in the town of Taormina, with the theme "Borders – gateways to the imagination". The theme word focused on the ambivalences of every border and the importance of sharing and respecting individual and collective identities.

Over 200 guests from more than 30 countries animated the multidisciplinary program. The Taobuk Gala, on the evening of Saturday, June 21 at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina, featured the presentation of the Taobuk Awards; among those awarded the Taobuk Award for Literary Excellence were Peter Cameron, Joe R. Lansdale, and Susanna Tamaro. The ceremony was broadcast by Rai, confirming Taobuk's role as one of Sicily's major cultural events.
