Edition 2025 — Tage der Romanik – St. John

The 2025 edition of the Tage der Romanik was held on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12. Along the Alpine Straße der Romanik – Stiegen zum Himmel, more than thirty Romanesque sites in South Tyrol, including Burgeis, Mals, Neumarkt, and Innichen, opened their doors for free. The Church of St. John in Taufers im Münstertal welcomed visitors with open doors and guided tours of its Byzantine frescoes.

Tage der Romanik 2025

On Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12, 2025, the Romanesque Days took place along the Alpine Straße der Romanik – Stiegen zum Himmel. Over thirty medieval churches, chapels, and monasteries in South Tyrol opened their doors for free, with guided tours in German at 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM, no reservation required. In Taufers im Münstertal, the Romanesque Church of St. John offered open doors and guided discovery of its Byzantine-influenced frescoes, among the most significant in the Vinschgau valley.
