Edition 2025 — Romanesque Days in San Giorgio di Scena
The 2025 edition of the Tage der Romanik brought the circular church of San Giorgio to life over the weekend of October 11–12, 2025. In the municipality of Scena/Schenna, the public was able to visit the Rundkirche St. Georg for free with a rich program:
- Guided tours in German on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with Birgit Knoll;
- Guided tours in Italian on Saturday and Sunday, with Alfred Piffer;
- Musical accompaniment on Saturday, October 11, with the Roathaler Stubenmusik;
- Apple tasting on Saturday, featuring the signature product of Scena's orchards.
The initiative, part of the Alpine Romanesque Road in the province of Bolzano, allowed visitors to admire the 14th-century frescoes and the late-Gothic altar of the building, one of the most significant examples of Romanesque art in the Alpine region.
