Edition 2025 — Suonagli Folk Festival

The 7th edition of the Suonagli Folk Festival took place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Molfetta, with a day entirely dedicated to pizzica and Southern folk traditions. The program included a dance workshop with Valeria Sallustio, the photography exhibition "Il Rito" by Massimiliano Morabito, the presentation of the book "Il tarantismo mediterraneo" by Vincenzo Santoro, and a dance concert with the Viaggio Popolare ensemble. Due to bad weather, the venue was moved to the Cittadella degli Artisti.

Suonagli Folk Festival 2025 — 7th edition

Organized by the Fabulanova cultural association, the seventh edition was held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Molfetta. Initially planned at the Fabbrica di San Domenico, it was moved to the Cittadella degli Artisti due to weather forecasts. Free admission with booking required for limited-capacity activities.

The day opened with a pizzica workshop led by Valeria Sallustio, followed by the inauguration of the photography exhibition "Il Rito" by Massimiliano Morabito, a musician from the Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino. In the afternoon, the presentation of the book "Il tarantismo mediterraneo" by Vincenzo Santoro explored the cultural phenomenon of tarantism. In the evening, the grand dance concert with the Viaggio Popolare ensemble concluded the festival with live music and dancing.

  • 16:30 – 18:00 — Pizzica workshop with Valeria Sallustio (free upon booking)
  • 18:00 — Inauguration of the photography exhibition "Il Rito" by Massimiliano Morabito (free entry)
  • 18:10 — Presentation of the book "Il tarantismo mediterraneo" by Vincenzo Santoro
  • 20:30 – 22:30 — Dance concert with the Viaggio Popolare ensemble: Davide Donno (tambourine, vocals), Giuseppe Anglano (accordion, vocals), Luigi Marra (violin, mandolin, vocals), Ippazio Rizzello (guitar, vocals)
