Summer Theater Festival at the Villaggio dei Ragazzi (Summer Theater)

Fifth edition: nine shows in the Cortile dei Tritoni

The summer of 2025 marked the fifth edition of the Summer Theater Festival of Maddaloni, hosted as always in the Cortile dei Tritoni of the Villaggio dei Ragazzi Foundation, in the province of Caserta. Nine evenings, all free, accompanied the city from June 26 until mid-September, under the artistic direction of Michele Cupito, reconfirmed after the success of previous seasons.

The opening, on June 26, was entrusted to «Matrimoni Sospesi» by Crescenzo Autieri, performed by the Amici del Treno per Napoli delle 06:30 company, directed by Cupito himself and hosted by Luca Tramontano: an evening that completely filled the courtyard. The program continued until September, with September 5 dedicated to «Medusa» by Thomas Mugnano and the Matt-Attori company, premiering in Maddaloni, and the closing on September 12 entrusted to the Maschere Calatine with the tribute to Luigi De Filippo, «Come e perché crollò il Colosseo».

The event, promoted by the Municipality of Maddaloni with Mayor Andrea De Filippo and Councilor for Culture Caterina Ventrone, benefited from the collaboration of the Villaggio dei Ragazzi, the APS Pro Loco «San Michele», and the Italian Red Cross - Maddaloni Committee.
