Edition 2025 — Summer Saint Joseph

In 2025, the Summer Saint Joseph Festival in Bagheria was exceptionally moved from its usual early August slot to late September (September 26-29), in anticipation of the Bicentennial of the city's founding celebrated in 2026. Four days of festivities blending faith, culture, and entertainment: agri-food expo on Corso Umberto I, City of Bagheria Singing Award, Patron Saint procession, Sicilian cart parade, a concert by Michele Zarrillo, and a final fireworks display.

The Bicentennial Edition (2025)

The 2025 edition of the Summer Saint Joseph Festival took place from September 26 to 29, exceptionally postponed from the traditional August period. As explained by Mayor Filippo Tripoli, the shift was linked to the Bicentennial of the founding of the city of Bagheria, celebrated in 2026, providing an opportunity for a richer program. The event, costing approximately 70,000 euros, was financed by the municipal budget with the contribution of the Metropolitan City of Palermo.

Among the most popular events: the alborata at dawn, the Agri-food Expo along Corso Umberto I, the First City of Bagheria Singing Award with a jury chaired by maestro Beppe Vessicchio, and performances by Salvo Piparo (the Sicilian 'cunto') and Manlio Dovì. On Sunday the 28th, the solemn procession of the Saint Joseph statue; on Monday the 29th, the parade of Sicilian carts with the drummers of Baaria, the concert by Michele Zarrillo in Piazza Madrice, and the grand final fireworks display.
