Neighborhoods in Celebration is one of the events in the summer program of Castellanza, a municipality in the Province of Varese in the Alto Milanese region. The idea is simple and original: instead of concentrating the celebration in a single square, it is spread out neighborhood by neighborhood, leaving the residents to liven up their own streets.

Community and Social Interaction

In the different neighborhoods of the city, residents organize parties, buffets, and aperitifs, opening courtyards and streets to community social life. It's a formula that enhances the sense of community and the pleasure of gathering with neighbors in an informal and participatory atmosphere. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Castellanza within the «Summer in the City» program, which from June 1 to September 27 brings cultural, musical, film, and sports events to the city. Neighborhoods in Celebration represents its most popular and local spirit, designed to directly involve the inhabitants.
