Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Paul

In 2025, the summer feast of Saint Paul the Apostle in Palazzolo Acreide renewed the customary late-June ritual, with the Sciuta of the 16th-century statue on June 29th at 1:00 PM. Pilgrimages, illuminations, the Giro di Gala, and processions animated the Baroque historic center of the Iblean town, amidst firecrackers, nzareddi, and traditional cuddure.

The 2025 Edition

The 2025 edition confirmed the traditional calendar of the patronal feast of Palazzolo Acreide, in the province of Syracuse. On June 29th, at 1:00 PM, the Sciuta brought the 16th-century statue of Saint Paul out of the Basilica amidst the sound of firecrackers and a scenic shower of colorful nzareddi, greeted by the enthusiasm of the devotees.

The previous days had featured the pilgrimage to the 'San Pauluzzu' district, the lighting of the illuminations, the Giro di Gala with a mounted honor guard and drummers, and the evening unveiling of the statue. The festival concluded with the evening procession, musical performance, and fireworks.
