Summer at MAXXI 2025
The 2025 edition of the Roman museum's summer festival was held from June 17 to July 23, enlivening the MAXXI piazza and auditorium every week with authoritative voices from Italian culture.
Opening the program on Tuesday, June 17, was Stefano Bollani with the presentation of his book Il tempo della stravaganza, in conversation with Malcom Pagani. On July 2, the Abracabook — Book Party Stregato evening brought together the finalists of the 2025 Strega Prize, including Andrea Bajani, Nadia Terranova, Paolo Nori, Elisabetta Rasy, and Michele Ruol.
The cinema section featured five screenings dedicated to sports and stadiums, ranging from the Manetti Bros.' U.S. Palmese (June 18) to Bohemian Rhapsody (July 3), Crazy for Football (July 10), and Il Campione (July 22). Live music, under the artistic direction of Paolo Damiani, opened on June 24 with Antonella Ruggiero accompanied by Renzo Ruggieri on the accordion, followed on July 1 by the acoustic set of Chiara Civello.
