Edition 2025 — SIFF
SIFF 2025: the 43rd edition
The 43rd edition of the Sulmona International Film Festival was held from November 5th to 8th, 2025 at the Cinema Pacifico in Sulmona, confirming the Abruzzo city as the capital of short films. From a selection of over a thousand international submissions, 52 short films were chosen for the competition, with a total of 16 awards presented.
Among the winners: Houston, We Have a Crush by Omer Ben Shachar (Best International Short Film), Playing God by Matteo Burani (Best National Short Film and Best Screenplay), Voices from the Abyss (Best Documentary and Best Cinematography), Kill Time by Niccolò Forcella (Abruzzo Short section), and A Domani by Emanuele Vicorito, awarded by the student juries of the Ovidio and Fermi schools.
Presided over by Marco Maiorano and artistically directed by Carlo Liberatore, the festival saw consistently packed screenings, from the morning sessions dedicated to students to the evening events.
