Südtirol Classic Schenna — Vintage Car Rally

The 39th edition of the famous Schenna rally, above Merano, brought together about 120 crews with vintage cars from the 1920s to 1985. The event was divided into two parts: a pleasant, non-timed program from July 6 to 9, followed by regularity and skill tests from July 9 to 13.

Among the most evocative stages were the Meraner Land Prologue of about 70 km starting from Schenna, the «Südtirol Classic meets 200 Jahre Stilfser Joch» day of about 180 km on the legendary Stelvio Pass road for its 200th anniversary, the grand Dolomite tour of about 260 km starting from the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, and a final 200 km panoramic tour towards Trentino via the Mendola and Predaia passes. The awards ceremony was held on the final evening at the Kurhaus of Merano.

2025 Program (summary)

• July 6-9 — Relaxed days without a stopwatch, with panoramic excursions in the Merano area and South Tyrol.
• Wednesday, July 9 — Technical checks and Meraner Land Prologue (~70 km), departure from Schenna at 5:15 PM and passage on the Kurpromenade of Merano.
• Thursday, July 10 — «Südtirol Classic meets 200 Jahre Stilfser Joch» (~180 km) on the Stelvio Pass road.
• Friday, July 11 — Grand Dolomite tour (~260 km), departure from the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle at 8:00 AM.
• Saturday, July 12 — Panoramic tour (~200 km) from Schenna towards Trentino via the Mendola and Predaia passes; evening, awards ceremony at the Kurhaus of Merano at 7:00 PM.
