Edition 2025 — Strozega de Santa Luzia

On Friday, December 12, 2025, the village of Piazze di Bedollo experienced the traditional Strozega de Santa Luzia on the eve of Saint Lucy's Day. Children, parents, and grandparents paraded through the village streets dragging noisy strozeghe—tin cans tied with string—to attract the saint's attention and guide her to the homes of the little ones awaiting their gifts.

The 2025 edition of the Strozega de Santa Luzia took place on Friday, December 12, 2025, in the village of Piazze di Bedollo, on the Piné Plateau. Following the ancient tradition of the eve of Saint Lucy's Day, the village children, accompanied by parents and grandparents, walked through the streets dragging strozeghe—strings of cans and tins tied with twine—making as much noise as possible.

According to legend, the racket serves to guide Saint Lucy, who is blind, to the children's homes so she doesn't forget to bring them gifts and sweets during the night between December 12th and 13th. In 2025, the event once again confirmed its character as an intergenerational community celebration, with the participation of entire families from the village.
