Edition 2025 — Stresa Festival

The 64th edition of the Stresa Festival took place from July 17 to September 6, 2025, on Lake Maggiore, with a program divided between jazz, world music, early music, and classical music. Highlights included Antonio Pappano with the London Symphony Orchestra, Gidon Kremer with the Kremerata Baltica, and accordionist Richard Galliano, in the evocative settings of the Borromean Islands.

The sixty-fourth edition of the Stresa Festival enlivened the summer of 2025 on Lake Maggiore with two concert periods, from July 17 to August 1 and from August 19 to September 6. The festival returned to perform on all three Borromean Islands — Bella, Madre, and dei Pescatori — alongside the Stresa Festival Hall and the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso.

The opening was entrusted to Irish violinist Martin Hayes on Isola Bella, followed by Cuban singer and cellist Ana Carla Maza. The lineup paid tribute to important anniversaries — Alessandro Scarlatti, Shostakovich, Luciano Berio, and Arvo Pärt — and featured great names such as Richard Galliano (July 25), Gidon Kremer with the Kremerata Baltica (August 27), and, for the grand finale on September 6, Antonio Pappano leading the London Symphony Orchestra with Mario Brunello on cello.
