Strapuntese

The 16th Strapuntese was held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in San Giovanni la Punta, Province of Catania, as the fourth stage of the Etna Running circuit and a qualifying race for the Sicilian Absolute Regional Club Championships (10km). The absolute competition, covering 10,000 FIDAL-certified meters, took place on a city course consisting of five laps of 2,000 meters.

The morning program included bib collection starting at 8:00 AM, the start of all absolute M/F categories at 9:30 AM, followed by youth events: allievi/e on 6 km, esordienti, ragazzi/e, and cadetti/e, concluding with the awards ceremony at noon. Entry fees were €15 for absolute categories, €5 for allievi, and €3 for youth categories. Awards were given to the top three absolute M/F athletes, the top three in each category, and the top three Sicilian men's and women's clubs. The race was organized by A.S.D. Scuola di Atletica Leggera Catania with the patronage of the Municipality of San Giovanni la Punta.
