On September 13, 2025, Polla hosted the seventeenth edition of the Strapollese, starting at 5:00 PM with over 500 athletes at the start, arriving from Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Puglia, Basilicata, and Calabria. The race, presented on the eve of the event at the sanctuary of Sant'Antonio, awarded for the first time the titles of Absolute Individual and Team Regional Championship for the 10 km of FIDAL Campania.

The winners

  • Men: Yahya Kadiri (32:08), ahead of Valerio Santoro (32:15) and Alí Akinou (32:34)

A celebration beyond the race

The course, flat and certified, crossed the historic centre passing by the Roman bridge, also depicted on the medal given to all finishers. In Piazza Monsignor Antonio Forte, a village was set up with stalls of crafts and typical products, while along the route, the City of Rome Pipe Band accompanied the runners with bagpipes and drums. The programme was completed by the Strapollesina for children aged 4 to 14 and the non-competitive fitwalking course.
