Straight Furrow Festival (Agriculture Day)

The second edition of the Straight Furrow Festival, paired with the fifth Agriculture Day, took place in Gioia dei Marsi on Sunday, September 28, 2025. From 9:00 AM, Piazza della Repubblica hosted an exhibition of fruit and vegetable produce, agricultural machinery, truffles, Abruzzo wines, antiques, and lace.

In the afternoon, the historical re-enactment of the straight furrow plowing took place with a parade in period costumes, showcasing the evolution of plowing from oxen to modern tractors. The day continued with a conference on organic farming and strategies for inland areas, concluding in the evening with a show by the comedian 'Nduccio. The event, organized by the Municipality, the Pro Loco, and local associations with Coldiretti and Confagricoltura, confirmed the rural vocation of the Marsican village within the Furrow Villages network.
